Not every question needs a large academic study. Environmental scans, needs assessments, service mapping and policy analysis can give organizations and communities the evidence they need to act, on a realistic timeline.

Ideas are expanded only when results, capacity and context justify it — reducing the risk of scaling something before it has actually been tested.
Lived experience as evidence
Administrative data shows what happened; lived experience reveals how systems actually feel and function to the people navigating them. We treat it as a complementary form of evidence, not a lesser one — incorporated into research questions, study design and interpretation of findings.
Responsible research practice
Work involving people follows appropriate safeguards: informed consent, privacy, cultural safety and transparent use of findings. Where formal research requires ethics review or specialized methodology, we work through qualified partners and processes — including appropriate relationships and data-governance practices for research involving Indigenous communities.

As this work builds a substantial track record of research partnerships, published findings and recognized expertise, it may eventually justify a more formal institutional platform. That is a future possibility we’re building toward — not a claim we’re making today. The immediate priority is straightforward: build credibility through useful work.
