Vantercor Global Community Health Solutions Inc. (VGCHS) is a federally incorporated, Alberta-registered public health and community development organization headquartered in Edmonton, working across Canada, Africa and other regions.
Our story
From personal barriers to institutional purpose.
Vantercor exists because barriers to inclusion, accessibility and equitable health rarely come from a single decision — they accumulate across policies, environments, communication and everyday practice. Understanding those barriers first-hand shaped why VGCHS was founded, but the organization’s purpose has always looked outward: not to describe one experience, but to help change the systems that create barriers for many.
That shift — from an individual story to institutional work — is what VGCHS is built to do. We work with organizations, communities and governments to make inclusion, accessibility and equity part of how systems actually operate, not just what they say they value.

Community-based
Programs are developed with the people and organizations they are meant to serve, not delivered to them from a distance.
Evidence-informed
We draw on research, established practice, lived experience and evaluation findings — and say plainly when something is still being tested.
Accessible by design
Accessibility is built into how we work and communicate, not added afterward. It’s the standard we ask organizations to meet too.
Meaningful participation
Nothing about inclusion, without meaningful participation. People with lived experience shape our programs, not just review them.
Non-clinical, practical support
Our work strengthens organizational practice, community capacity and service delivery — it complements clinical and regulated services rather than replacing them.
Accountable
We measure whether our own programs are working, and we’re honest about what’s operational today versus what’s still in development.

Rooted in Edmonton. Built for a wider reach.
VGCHS is headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, and our first flagship initiatives are being developed here. Local implementation gives us real evidence and real relationships — the foundation for responsible growth, rather than expansion for its own sake.
Our federal incorporation and founding mandate look beyond Canada’s borders, with a vision for responsible adaptation and partnership in underserved communities globally, including across Africa. That work will always follow local evidence, local partnership and local context — not a template exported from Edmonton.
Governance
Building institutional accountability as we grow.
VGCHS is developing its governance structures alongside its programs, including an advisory council to bring external expertise, community perspective and accountability to our direction. As that structure matures, leadership and governance details will be published here.
